What does BlitsTik do?

BlitsTik captures your speech, transcribes it locally on your Mac, and inserts polished text into whatever app you're using — email, Slack, Notion, VS Code, web forms, and more. Press a hotkey, speak, and your words appear as clean, punctuated text.

How is this different from built-in macOS dictation?

Built-in macOS dictation has time limits, requires internet for some features, and doesn't clean up grammar or punctuation. BlitsTik works across all apps with no time limits, runs entirely offline, and automatically fixes grammar, capitalisation, and punctuation.

Does my audio get sent to the cloud?

No. BlitsTik transcribes your speech using on-device models running locally on your Mac. Your audio is never uploaded, never stored on a server, and is discarded immediately after transcription.

Does BlitsTik work in every app?

Yes. BlitsTik works anywhere you can type on macOS — it inserts text at your cursor position regardless of the application. Email clients, chat apps, document editors, code editors, web forms, CRM tools, and more.

How accurate is the transcription?

BlitsTik uses state-of-the-art speech recognition models optimised for Apple Silicon. Accuracy is excellent for conversational and professional English, and improves further on M-series Macs thanks to the Neural Engine.

Does it work with accents or non-native English speakers?

Yes. The underlying speech models are trained on diverse speech patterns and handle a wide range of accents, speaking styles, and speech cadences well.

What happens when I'm offline?

Everything works exactly the same. BlitsTik is designed offline-first — transcription, grammar correction, and text insertion all happen locally. No internet connection is ever required.

How fast is dictation compared to typing?

Most people type at 40-60 words per minute. With BlitsTik, you can comfortably dictate at 150+ words per minute — roughly 3-4x faster. A 500-word email takes about two minutes instead of ten.

Can I use BlitsTik for languages other than English?

BlitsTik currently supports English. Additional language support is planned for future releases. Check back for updates on multilingual dictation.
